The Karen and Michael Vinopal Family Scholarship was recently established as a permanent charitable endowment with the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation by Michael Vinopal in memory of his wife Karen and in honor of his children. It is awarded annually to a graduating senior from Titusville who is pursuing a degree in nursing or education.
Cara Jackson was selected to receive a $1,000 award from the scholarship fund in its inaugural year. Cara will be studying nursing at PennWest Clarion.
The Crawford Heritage Community Foundation is dedicated to making Crawford County a better place to live, learn, work and raise a family. The Foundation helps people make the most of their philanthropy by giving to endowed funds. Grant awards are made from these funds to support the causes donors care about as well as worthwhile programs selected by the Foundation.
