Funded through the Community Impact Fund
In the heart of downtown Meadville, a once busy theater along Park Avenue is transforming into a welcoming space for neighbors, families, and visitors. With support from the Community Impact Fund, the Meadville Community Revitalization Corporation (MCRC) is building a new parklet at 960 Park Avenue. When complete, it will offer a place to sit, gather, rest, and enjoy the energy of the community.
For MCRC, the goal is simple. Create public spaces that feel inviting. Create places where people stay a little longer. Where they meet friends. Where they feel connected to the community around them. This project brings that vision to life. The new parklet features seating, plants, art, and accessible design that helps everyone feel welcome.
While the space is still under construction, the impact is already felt. Passersby stop to watch the progress and ask questions. Nearby businesses are excited about having a small gathering spot right outside their doors. Downtown employees are looking forward to a peaceful place to enjoy lunch. The parklet is more than a construction project. It is a promise that community spaces matter.
This project is made possible through a grant from the Community Impact Fund, which supports projects that strengthen the quality of life across Crawford County. Investments like this help build the kind of downtown that draws people in. A place that feels alive and connected.
