Funded by the Community Impact Fund
At the Titusville YWCA, learning begins with curiosity. The youngest children in their early childhood programs start each day with stories, songs, and hands-on activities that help them explore the world around them. This year, that experience grew even brighter thanks to a grant from the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation’s Community Impact Fund.
The YWCA received funding to purchase a new interactive whiteboard for the Fun Factory and other youth programs. This tool gives teachers the ability to bring lessons to life with movement, color, and sound. Story hours become more immersive. Group activities become more engaging. Children can trace letters, explore shapes, and collaborate with classmates in new, creative ways.
For many of the children who come through the YWCA’s doors, this is their first classroom experience. The whiteboard helps them practice early literacy and math skills, build confidence, and express themselves through interactive learning.
Amy shares how meaningful the upgrade has been, “The kids walk in and their faces light up. They want to try everything. It makes learning feel like play.” Gifts like this remind us that small investments can spark big imagination. Thanks to local generosity, children in Titusville are discovering, creating, and growing every day.
Every gift tells a story. Every story becomes a legacy.
